In the Gospel of Mark, a poor widow gave two small coins and reminds us of how each Christian is challenged to extravagantly share their blessings. The ministry of any church depends upon the commitment of time and talent, as well as financial support from its members and friends.

Wanted an Adult or High School aged student to lead the Choristers!

The Choristers are a musical group of children in the 4th-8th grade. They need a leader to help them learn their songs. You do not need to know how to play an instrument or even sing! The youth practice with pre-recorded music. They meet from 10:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. most Sundays. If you are interested, please contact or e-mail Laura Lokken if you are interested.

Sunday morning - Open Youth Room - Needs your help

We are trying something new on Sundays and we need your help to do it! After the children are done with music, they are invited to enjoy Fellowship in the Youth Room. It will be open from 10:45-11:15 a.m. for children and youth to have some fun while their parents either supervise them or enjoy Fellowship downstairs. We will be following our Safe Sanctuary policy with at least two adults present. Adults, please sign up to supervise on the Teacher/Shepherd sheets on Laura's door (the last column in each row). Thank you!

Ushers and Greeters Needed

Every Sunday, we have Greeters and Ushers at each entrance to the sanctuary. Anyone can sign up to Usher or Greet any Sunday. Please check your schedules and sign up to help with the hospitality of our church. Contact Kitty Gross or Linda Buchs-Hammonds if you are interested in serving on the Usher Team.

After Worship Fellowship Hosts and Hostesses needed

Hosts and Hostesses are needed for After Worship Fellowship in January and February. Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board in the gathering space. It is such a pleasure to serve at this joyful time of fellowship. Don't be shy - get in on the action!

Sunday School Ad Hoc Committee Members Needed

Laura Lokken is looking for 3-5 people who are interested in our Sunday School program and the curriculum we use to be on an ad hoc committee. This committee will help determine the curriculum to be used starting in the fall of 2012.

Workshop Volunteers Needed - March 31

According to information provided to UCC.org, one-quarter of all jobs in the United States pay wages so low that a full-time worker cannot keep a family out of poverty. For others, the biggest problem is no job at all. Even when the economy is considered to be "strong", millions of people who want to work cannot find a job or can only find a part-time one. Because of these statistics, the Social Justice Group would like volunteers for a workshop that would benefit people in these hard times. If you want to lead a workshop in resume writing, shopping or cooking on a tight budget, growing your own food, warnings about current financial scams, understanding your credit score, a used clothing exchange or anything that would benefit people, we would like to hear from you.
