Children and youth are welcome to be a part of worship services. There is a Children's Message each Sunday throughout the year. The children are invited to come up to the front steps of the sanctuary to be part of the message. During the Sunday school year (September-May), the children leave the sanctuary after the Children's Message to attend Sunday school. If you are new to First Congregational Church or your child is new to Sunday School and not comfortable leaving with the rest of the children, please feel free to keep them in the church with you. You may also choose to take them to the nursery or lounge, if they get restless and need to play or move around more. The older youth - confirmation age and older - are able to remain in worship the entire hour. Youth are often invited to read scripture in worship. The youth of the church also put on the Easter Sunrise Service each year.
